Dror Shalitin, PhD, Founder and CEO
Dror Founded PlantArcBio in 2014.
For more than 17 years, Dror served in many senior Biotechnology R&D positions,
among them - Trait Research Leader at Evogene and Senior Scientist at the ‘Institute for Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research’, West Hollywood, California.
Dror holds a Ph.D. and a M.Sc. from the Department of Field Crops and Genetics, and the Department of Plant Pathology (respectively), of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Iris Nesher, PhD, Chief Scientist Officer
Iris worked at Rosetta Green for 8 years, 3 of them under the international corporation Monsanto as a platform leader and part of the Israeli site management.
Iris has a vast experience with plant small RNA and is an expert at NGS.
For the last 3 years Iris is focusing on bringing the science into the Cannabis field and is now an expert in Cannabis tissue culture.
Iris holds a Ph.D and M.Sc. from the Department of Plant Sciences, Life Sciences Faculty at Tel Aviv University.
Shay Avraham Sarid, B.Ed ,Director
Shay is the founder of Seach Medical Group and leads the R&D and technologies activity at Seach.
Shay was previously the chairman of the Israeli Cannabis cultivators' association.
Shay owns a software company and has vast experience in R&D procedures.
Shay holds a B.Ed in education from Seminar Hakibutzim.
David (Dedi) Meiri, PhD, Head of Scientific Board
Dedi is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Biology at the Technion, and a member of the Technion Integrated Cancer Center (TICC). Dedi is operating the "Cannabis Database Project" and his lab is currently involved in eight clinical trials covering diverse aspects of cannabis treatment. Dedi holds a M.Sc. in biochemistry and a Ph.D. in plant biotechnology from Tel Aviv University. Dr. Meiri conducted his post-doctoral fellowship at the Ontario Cancer Institute, Canada.
Danny Statland, B.Sc, Scientific Process Developer
Danny worked as an R&D project manager at Ilan Bio. During his work Danny dedicated most of his time to develop working protocols for cannabis micropropagation, and he is well experienced in mass production of cannabis & other tissue culture plants in temporary immersion bioreactors.
Currently Danny is leading the bioreactor cell culture development in Targene.
Danny holds a B.Sc in Life Sciences with Technological Entrepreneurship Management excellence program from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Michael Kravchik, PhD, Head of Research
Michael earned his Ph.D from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Michael then completed post doctorates in plant development and virology in ARO (Volcani Center, Israel agricultural research institute).
Michael is a Plant scientist, expert in plant physiology and molecular biology, plant biotic and abiotic stresses, tissue culture and gene editing.
